About us
We fixed the part of hiring everyone hated.
atwork.io started with a simple frustration: applying to five rounds of interviews to discover the salary was 20% below your current one. So we made one rule — no listing without a salary range — and built a job board around it.

What we stand for
Three rules we don't break.
Transparency first
Salaries on listings, honest company profiles, no dark patterns. If a practice would not survive daylight, we do not ship it.
Candidates are users, not inventory
We build for the person searching, not just the company paying. A better candidate experience produces better hires — for everyone.
Less noise, more signal
No ghost jobs, no recycled listings, no engagement bait. Fewer, better openings beat an infinite scroll of dead ends.
The story so far
Small team. Steady compounding.
- 2023
atwork.io launches with 40 verified companies and a simple rule: no listing without a salary range.
- 2024
1,000 companies onboarded. One-click applications and application tracking ship.
- 2025
10,000 open roles milestone. The journal launches to share what we learn about hiring.
- 2026
15,000+ candidates, 3,500 companies, 98% of listings with salary displayed. Still independent.
The awkward question
How we make money.
A job board that will not say this plainly is usually selling something you would rather it did not.
Employers pay to publish a listing. That is the whole business. One opening, one price, no subscription and no per-applicant fee.
We do not sell candidate data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not charge candidates for anything — not applications, not “premium” visibility, not a better place in a queue. If that ever has to change, it will be on this page before it is anywhere else.
